Alrighty then

So apprently I have frightened some of you with my previous rant...it was all just a rant. Sanity wise I'm just fine, well, you know, "fine" as in I've always been a little nuts :)

It was a little doom and gloom so here are five things that are happier:

#1: I love the smell of laundry detergent: This smell is ten times more powerful when I'm pregnant, WHICH I'M NOT, and is wonderful. The smell of dryer sheets and detergent is just so clean and refreshing. Now, if I start eating the stuff...then we should all be worried and I should probably seek the help of a medical professional. Until then, if ever, I will continue to enjoy sticking my nose inside a box of Arm and Hammer Laundry Detergent and sniff to my hearts content.

#2: When I was little I wanted to be an archeologist: I love ancient civilizations and would love to go see the Mayan and Incan temples, Stonehenge, Rome and just Italy in general, and Greece. Someday I'll be "World Traveler" Emily instead of just "Stay at home" Emily. Oh, and of course I'd bring my family with me because what better education could you give your child then to see the world.

#3: As far as my life goes, I'm staying home: I have no right or wish to judge anyone...so I won't. But for me and my family, having the mom stay at home is the most important thing I can do. I am a product of a mom who worked too much and therefore I've had some unsavory experiences at the hand of babysitters and too much freedom. Children definately need their parents, in any healthy way that fits the family. And just because a woman stays at home doesn't mean she's uneducated, unskilled, lazy, or unmotivated. Women rule, no matter what occupation they hold.

#4: My first kiss was when I was 14 and it was a french kiss. It was awesome, loved that boy until I met Nate AND that boy was my last kiss before Nate. Of course, there were many boys in between and I could make-out with the best of 'em but this one boy...he had the privilege of eduacating me in the joy of kissing. Mmmmm...kissing...where's Nate? haha, I grossed you out!

#5: The sweetest thing:is the good night kisses I get from my boys, especially Aidan. He still lets me must smooch his cute, pouty lips and chubby little cheeks to my hearts content and nothing in the world is more satisfying then kissing a bathed, lotioned, warm little boy. In a strictly motherly kind of way, of course.

Look at that....I did learn some new fun things. Of course I already knew about the laundry detergent since when you were prego with Aiden you would just sit in the courtyard and inhale the dryer exhaust.

Sorry, I still think you're nuts. But I'll hold off calling the psyche ward.

Sorry, I spelled Aidan wrong in my post earlier. Sadie got a book today - one of those barbie ones that I'm sure is a movie and the prince was Aidan. Great name.

I also was a product of a mom who worked too much. Definitely formed my ideas of how I wanted to be there for my kids. (Maybe I went too far the other way!)
