the short list

Some might say, "the long and the short of it." referring to a story but here will be the short and the short of it.

Nate had his knee surgery Dec. 15th and everything went really well. He has healed great, no swelling, and he is a remarkably good natured patient. On the other hand, because of said surgery he has to be waited on hand and foot because he needs to be doing a leg machine for SIX hours a day. So I've been doing it all folks and feel a little frazzled.

The week of Christmas came and up to Findlay we went where I was blissfully able to share parenting duties and patient duty with my fabulous in-laws.

then followed a quick trip home, lots of laundry, and another trip to New Philadelphia, Ohio where we will be moving in three short months. Still having to take care of everything because of Nate's knee surgery.

We came home after an overnight trip, my mother-in-law popped down for two days to do some serious deep cleaning of my house to get it ready to sell.

(have I mentioned I'm pregnant?)

A little crazy, busy, emotional end to December but we made it.

January dawns, (is it already the middle of January?!), and our house went on the market Jan. 7th. My house is spotless, SPOT.LESS!! It's amazing. And also half my house is packed up and stored at my in-laws house so that might have helped matters.

Had a showing the day after the house was for sale and then continued to counter-offer all weekend and we signed papers yesterday to sell. Not at the price we wanted. Or the closing cost we wanted. but it's done in the time frame we needed because of the little bun in the oven.

so now we wait for the home inspection on Friday, the appraisal to come through, and for the closing on Feb. 26th.

Because of all this busy-ness for the past thirty days, I haven't posted but at least now you know why. I'll get pics up soon.

And sadly folks, that really is the short version.

Wow EM. You deserve a medal, and a spa day, or two, or three. Congrats on selling the house so quickly.

When is your due date? So nice to have great in-laws close by to help. And I do realize this craziness going on in your life, and I can sympathize. Therefore, I forgive the Springers for not yet setting up a visit with your "new neighbors," The Johnsons. :)

Congrats on baby boy #3. I just realized I didn't know what you were having yet so I had to get updated on the blog, where I of course was not disappointed since you always have great stories - I especially like the peeing of your pants one :) That is amazing to sell your house so quickly. Way to go. So what are you plans now? What is Nate going to do for work? I hope you like where you are moving. I thought you were coming back out to the west ??? Good luck with everything!!!
